What exactly does the "natural flavor" consist of?** A: From the Harney and Son's website and the Amazon product description: Ingredients: Black tea, ginger root, cardamom seeds, chocolate flavor, cardamom flavor, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom pods, cinnamon chips and vanilla flavor. Contains natural flavors. Natural flavors usually mean extracts, secondary metabolites that are derived from the plant. So the chocolate flavor is derived from cocoa plant solids without adding cocoa solids to the tea leaves, vanilla flavor is derived from vanilla beans but the tea blend doesn't add vanilla bean pieces.
