## Description

Chemical Guys Medium Duty Clay Bar and Luber Synthetic Lubricant Kit (CLY_KIT_2) is the essential solution for restoring smooth, grime-free paint. Over time, cars accumulate stubborn brake dust, rail dust, overspray, and industrial fallout that washing and polishing cannot fully remove. These embedded particles create rough texture, dull the finish, and block waxes and sealants from bonding properly. This kit is a great addition to your detailing kit, providing the professional solution for any level of detailer. The gray medium duty clay bar works on vehicles with moderate debris, making it perfect for DIY car owners to use on daily drivers, garage-kept cars, or vehicles exposed to city environments. When used with the included Synthetic Luber, the clay bar glides effortlessly across paint, glass, and smooth plastics, safely pulling out impurities without scratching. The process restores a silky-smooth finish, dramatically improving paint clarity and ensuring waxes, glazes, and sealants bond effectively for long-lasting shine and protection.Application is simple: spray Synthetic Luber generously onto the paint surface, gently glide the clay bar back and forth, and feel embedded dirt lift away as the surface becomes smooth. After claying, your car’s finish is primed for polishing , waxing, or sealing, allowing you to achieve maximum depth and gloss. The kit is versatile enough for cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, and even glass surfaces, making it a must-have for any enthusiast or professional detailer’s toolkit.Durable and reusable, the medium duty clay bar can be used multiple times before replacement. The Chemical Guys designed this claybar car kit for easy, safe, and effective use. Restore your paint’s smoothness and elevate your auto detailing routine with the proven performance of the Medium Duty Clay Bar and Luber Kit. Use it as a detailing kit component to prep before sealing or for routine maintenance.

Review: Makes Your Paint Feel Like Glass Again - Makes Your Paint Feel Like Glass Again The Chemical Guys Medium Duty Clay Bar and Luber Kit is one of those products that really delivers on its promise. I used it on a daily driver that sits outdoors year-round and had years of built-up grime and fallout baked into the paint. After washing, I could feel the roughness on the surface—almost like fine sandpaper. One careful pass with this clay and lubricant combo changed that completely. The paint became slick and smooth to the touch, the kind of finish that makes water bead effortlessly once waxed. The clay bar itself has the perfect balance—soft and pliable, yet dense enough to pull contaminants like tree sap, tar, and brake dust without falling apart or sticking. The included Clay Luber works very well; it provides enough glide that the bar never drags or mars the surface. The kit smells pleasant (a clean, synthetic scent), and a single bar is plenty for multiple vehicles if you keep folding it to expose fresh surfaces. I used it on paint, glass, and even chrome trim—all came out smooth and clean. It’s an excellent prep step before polishing or applying ceramic sealant. For older cars, the difference in gloss is immediate once you finish a panel. Tips: Always use generous lubricant and work small sections. If the clay gets dropped, discard it immediately—it’ll pick up grit from the ground. Store the bar in a resealable bag with a light mist of lube to keep it soft for future use. Bottom line: an essential detailing kit that removes years of embedded grime and restores that “new car” smoothness. Easy to use, great value, and a noticeable upgrade for anyone serious about maintaining their vehicle’s finish.
Review: Excellent product that delivers great results - My car care experience started in the Rain Dance/Simoniz era of the 70s, where all you knew was hours of hard labor. Wax on wax off, rub rub rub, get another towel, check it again oh crud there's still more wax to remove, you know the drill. Fast forward to the modern era... I ventured into using clay bars about a decade ago, a spray detailer/clay bar kit from Mothers impulse buy at Walmart. I repurchased the same product a couple of times and though was happy with it I felt it was time to try something new. The reviews on this product were enough to tip me away from Mothers and the results are tremendously different. Application and usage is generally the same with all of these products. Mist an area, rub with light pressure back and forth. Microfiber towel dry. Smash the bar and flatten. Repeat. I could tell a *noticeable* difference in the feel of the car surface but I wasn't sure it was real or my imagination. I was planning to wax both cars so I did a quick test. I had some Mothers left over so I used that on the hood of one car and Chemical Guys on the other. Sure as heck it was different! The CG application felt smoother and more glossy. I did another test gently gliding a clean and dry microfiber towel across both surfaces. The Mothers surface glide did ok but had some resistance. The CG surface glide resulted in the towel sliding right off the hood and onto the floor! I'm sold! I use Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Spray Wax 2.0. I know... it's not ceramic but for me it's easy without the PTSD memories of the 70s. Just wipe a very thin layer on and let 'er dry. It worked great over the top of the CG clay bar application. Easy on and easy off. The results are amazing. Both cars just sparkle! The best part was that I did both cars (Outback and Forester) in about 4 hours, and most of that time was waiting for the wax to dry. And I'm not wiped out! With less labor and a reasonable time commitment, I find that I wax the cars more than once a year. Anyway... thanks for reading my review this far. So here's a little present for you... a dad car joke: What do you get when dinosaurs crash their cars? Tyrannosaurus wrecks. YUK YUK Have a blessed day!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: For black car which one is good**
A: The color of the car is not as important. The important thing is the amount of time in which its been since you last clay barred the car. If it is within a year, you can use the blue light clay bar. Over a year then the yellow. Over 2 years, the medium, and then the black clay bar is the heavy duty. It is best to use the medium or lighter clay bar before the black clay bar because you could end up damaging the paint if you go to heavy.

**Q: How many grams of clay do you get with this kit?**
A: 100 grams

**Q: Is the clay luber sage for tinted glass and windows?**
A: Clay Luber is save for windows

**Q: Pedi su producto de clay bar dice arriba que son dos barras de 100g y solo me llego una como podemos hacer para q me llegue la otra???**
A: Very good👍

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worked on my sticky car
*by H***I on April 4, 2026*

Over a period of time, my car developed a sticky residue and no matter what I did, it would not get better. I washed, stripped, and waxed but nothing worked. I finally ended up buying this clay bar kit and as I was using it, I could feel the surface getting smoother. After waxing the car, it looks brand new and no more sticky feel. It is quite labor intensive, but well worth it.
