Because my feet are square, I usually order a size up, which in this case is an 8. There's just enough room in the toe box to wear thicker socks and still get a toe warmer pack in there (stick it to the top of the boot OVER the toes, then you're not walking on the thing and having it ball up under your toes). Yup, they're pink/purple (I kind of like that!). But they'll be under my camo and I'll be in a ground blind, and I'm pretty sure the deer won't care what color they are! These Arctic Sport II's came highly recommended by the only other woman hunter in our group of 35 for their warmth and comfort. I'll update my review after I sit in the usually sub-zero temps during hunt here in Northern MI to say whether they're warm or not. I have huge calves and have trouble finding boots that will fit over them** A: No. The calves are tight. They're definitely not for women with larger calves. (I tried on multiple styles and all were WAY too tight. There's no give. ) They may even be too tight for regular size calves, if they intend to tuck their jeans in. **Q: I have small calfs, I can get 2-3 fingers between the top and my leg. Will I get water from rain in the boot?** A: It’s hard telling, I have average size calves and I can get maybe 1 finger between the boot and my leg, I have not had issues, I often times have my pants tucked in as I wear them for barn and yard work. **Q: where can I find only products sold by Amazon and fulfilled by Amazon?** A: Not sure about any one location for this info., but for each product, they note if someone other than Amazon ships it. **Q: Do these have exceptional grip on ice? i want to use them to take my siberian husky (loves to pull) on mostly unsalted, not shoveled, icy paths.** A: Not much aside from ice grips work on ice ... Fingers crossed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing all around! *by T***H on February 12, 2021* I am currently experiencing my first winter in Northern Vermont. These boots have been AMAZING! I was on the fence about getting these or Bogs but these won out because I snagged then on sale for a bit cheaper than the Bogs. (My SiL has Bogs and she loves them too) I've been outside in -20 temps and my feet have stayed comfortable with thin boot socks on. I cannot feel the cold radiating through my soles. The traction on ice and snow is amazing too. My feet have no issue gripping as I work and walk about outside. (We've got some serious ice build up so this is a major win point for me.) They are actually pretty comfortable too. There's a cushy built-in liner. I've forgotten my normal "inside shoes" and have had to wear these all day as a result. Other than my feet being a little too toasty, my feet did not hurt after wearing them for 8 hours. ( For perspective: I'm a teacher, have broken about 8 toes over the course of my life, and am on my feet most of the day) I will say when I first tried them on I thought I made a mistake and got the wrong size. I'm a 10 but usually have to size up to an 11 for comfort width/toe box. The boots felt too tight the first day I wore them, but after a few days they've stretched and feel just right. I don't think I'd want to wear the size 10 with thick wool socks as then they would feel tight, but as they keep my feet warm just fine without them I won't have to worry. I think sizing up would have been a mistake for me.
