Once painted, it offers the authentic look of real wood, making it a top choice for professional-grade, flexible trim solutions. ## Description Duraflex Flexible Moulding: Moisture proof. Bends like a belt around your waist. Withstands extreme heat and cold temperatures without warping, cracking or deteriorating. Seamless construction without lamination defects. For interior and exterior use. Install using standard woodworking equipment - cut, sand, shape and finish like wood. Material is Beige in color. For applications with a minimum radius of 6" or greater. Fastening Polyurethane construction adhesive behind and at miter joints in addition to pneumatic pin nailing is recommended. Use of tape or clamps may be helpful in securing material in position while adhesives bond. Always install Flexible Moulding first is a relaxed non-tensile state. Nails should be kept to a minimum and 3/8” from any edge. For best results, we recommend using Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive. Cutting Material can be cut, shaped and sanded using standard woodworking equipment. Note that the wood grain on Stain grade material is only on the surface and will be eliminated if sanded. Painting Primer coats are not recommended. Use water based Acrylic Latex Paint. When using Alkyd Enamels an exterior primer such as Kilz is required. A.** A: I found this flexible molding ideal for trimming the side edges of a rounded kitchen island counter I had topped with marble. It's a fairly stiff, but bendable dense rubbery material and is 1/2 moon shaped on top and flat on the bottom (as pictured). Whether it would work for your trifold mirror, I can't say. It's quite durable and easy to fit and sand, but I don't think would be a good choice if your mirror is moved constantly. You can varnish it, but I left it the creme color it came in so I don't know how well it takes stain.
