Review: Great value and convience - There are times when I just want some clams to round a soup or recipe off. The smaller cans are more convient for me when I don't want to make a pot or casserole. I like Snow's clams because they are versitile. Right out of the can,they are great in cold dishes. They add the ocean taste with a tender chew. When my soup or pasta sauce is done, I toss the clams with wine in to heat through. It is a great clam to juice ratio.

A: We maintain the largest allocation for fishing and harvesting ocean clams in the United States. Snow’s operates an 86,000 square-foot plant in Cape May, New Jersey, with a capability to make chowder, soups, canned clams, and clam juice. **Q: Can you eat the clams straight out of the can without heating?**
A: Yes you can. They are cooked. You can even eat them right out of the shell standing thigh deep in the ocean as you dig for clams on Pismo Beach as I did in the sixties.

**Q: can these be frozen**
A: I have never frozen them before but I don't see why not... I would try it.

**Q: These are listed as bumblebee, but pictured as doxee/snow's..which are they?**
A: Doxsee and Snow's clam products are identical. Rather than have two brands making the same quality products which could be confusing, we decided to use the Snow's brand to represent our passion for clams. Perfect for linguine alle vongole, Bahamian clam fritters, etc., etc—or if you're a lover of tinned seafood, as I am, simply dumped out of the tin, and eaten straightaway with maybe a squeeze of lemon, a bit of chopped parsley, and a glass of pinot grigio, chablis, or sauvignon blanc. This is one of the least expensive ways I know to get a taste of la dolce vita!
