They get soft and bendable after a long hot shower or washing dishes so I am very careful during that time period before they harden back up, I recommend using gloves to wash dishes. I admit I rarely use the cuticle oil this came with because I'm not a fan of the smell and the greasiness so all of this progress is definitely due to the Polish. Just apply it religiously every day and you will see results, it took me a good 3 months to begin seeing a difference. One bottle lasted me a little over 3 months. I did not wear any other nail polish during this time, I only ever had this on my nails The only downside is it does not stay good on your nails at all, especially with the fresh layer it chips off very easily and will peel off after a shower, since he reapply everyday it's not that big of a deal and hasn't affected the product from working but it's a little frustrating. I have tried buffing my nails beforehand and always dehydrating them with acetone but it makes no difference. However this is a small price to pay because it works and lives up to its claims!
