## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the camping toaster hard to put together?**
A: Not at all. As shown in the product video, the wire frames clip into the base plate in seconds.

**Q: Can I use this camp toaster on a glass electric cooktop?**
A: No, this is designed for open-flame gas stoves only.

**Q: How do I prevent the toast from burning?**
A: The secret is Low Heat. The steel base diffuses flame, but keeping your stove on the lowest setting and rotating the bread halfway through ensures a golden-brown crunch without charring.

**Q: Will this rust if I leave it in my camping gear?**
A: It is built from Food-Grade Stainless Steel for high rust resistance. However, for maximum longevity, we recommend wiping the unit completely dry after washing before storing it in your pack.

**Q: Can it hold thicker items like bagels?**
A: Yes! The wire holders feature a wide angled design to accommodate thick items. It securely holds 4 standard bread slices or 2 large bagel halves simultaneously without tipping over.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stuff
*by C***D on September 10, 2026*

Four pieces of toast simultaneously... And, it won't rust.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works fine after adaptation
*by S***Y on May 22, 2024*

This actually did a pretty good job after some adaptation. 1. I had to notch the bottom out in four places so it would fit on my burner. Otherwise it would just slide off to one side or another because my pan wires are wider than this toaster base. It didn't seem to compromise the structure any. I used an angle grinder to do the job. 2. I read that it works best with four pieces of toast than just two. We are only two and don't need more than two at a time. So I bought 2 4x4 bathroom tiles from Home Depot (13 cents each) and using the same angle grinder, except this time with a diamond wheel (not everyone has this stuff sitting around, but I do) and cut corners off of them so the two pieces of toast would fit. Not sure how it works with four pieces of large toast. 3. I took a small piece of aluminum flashing (yeah, I have that hanging around too) and cut out a little piece that can sit on top to help retain heat. TADA! As you can see in the picture, it toasted rather evenly (without any rotating as others say they have to do). And, quite frankly, after setup, it really didn't take much longer than our home electrical toaster. I would pay three times as much for a toaster I wouldn't have to adapt, but they don't seem to exist or don't have any better reviews than these cheep ones, which all look identical regardless of the seller.
