Bully sticks are made from bull pizzle and just like any other beef for human consumption (they eat this in Asia), it can’t smell bad, either raw or cooked. A stinky bully stick is a product that was not properly conditioned at the slaughterhouse before being sent to the food facility and or had the baking process which for us lasts 3 days, cut in half to speed shipping, leaving too much water inside, compromising the odor and quality. A good bully stick smells like beef, but can’t smell bad.
