Q: Are these 36 different colours ? Can be used for rock painting ?

They are each different colours, but I wouldn’t say you can paint rocks with them as they are felt tips. You would need permanent markers.

Q: is every pen a different colour or are there doubles of some. I am buying for 2 children so would like them to be able to share the pot equally.

Hi, it's a while since I bought the set, but there's about 5-6 of each colour. I was a little disappointed at first as I thought there would be more colours, but actually it's been great as we still have some left as they dry out. Should be perfect for you.

They look and feel exactly like felt tip pens and are very similar to others we have in this range. I can't comment on if it's permanent and dosent come out yet as I'm gifting them so currently wrapped up.

The box I have, the various colours are all the same shade. I was very disappointed especially as I had read this reply to the question. To confirm 12 different colours.
