## Questions & Answers

**Q: how does the thundershirt work?**
A: I think it's the same principal that Temple Grandin used to calm down cows and herself (she had autism).  It applies light pressure to the chest, stomach, and back of the dog.  We ordered it, after noticing that placing a wet and heavy towel on our Bernese Mtn. Dog calmed him down.  The Thundershirt  though, calms him immediately and doesn't get everything wet!!  It's a great buy!!  We don't use it everyday....only when he seems under stress (constant panting, destructive behavior, pacing).

**Q: how do we figure if this will fit our dog?**
A: they do run a bit small. I bought one of each size because I have multiple dogs. I have two Golden's so I bought the Large for a 70 pound dog and X-Large for a 90 pound dog and they fit great. They should be a little snug but keep in mind that they do run a little smaller. I would say they do not run a whole size smaller though.

**Q: Has anyone used it for their dog during a road trip?**
A: I used it for a road trip and my dog was calmer than previous road trips.  She tends to get car sick, but with a Dramamine and the Thundershirt she was fine.

**Q: where is it made?**
A: The website www.onlynaturalpet.com sites China as the country of origin. Despite where it is made it is a good product that works if used correctly. Put it on your dog when he is calm and happy so he associates the shirt with good feelings (2wks to 1 month). Then when you know a storm, fireworks etc. is going to occur, put it on your dog early and he should show a decline in anxiety. If you only put it on when the dog is already upset, you are associating bad feelings with the shirt and will probably get a negative effect.
