These are severely overpriced, but after I had another Brother printer destroyed by a 3rd party toner cartridge, I only buy brand name now.I panicked when I first opened the package because it appeared the cartridges would not fit this printer. Unlike my previous Brother printer, the toner cartridge detaches from its holder (the drum unit?). Just take the drum unit off the old cartridge and snap it onto this new one, and place the assembly into the machine (9330CDW in my case).

So... with brother printers I don't have it locking us out until we replace the ink, but it does appear to warn you to replace entirely to soon. Bought these and because of the cost, we decided to wait and print until the color ran out. Had to bear with the low ink warning for several months, before they actually ran out.

I’ve been burned in the past by refills. I just go for the real thing and deal with it.
