A: It’s metal type. Not sure what kind. You just use nonstick cooking spray and the tortilla will come off with ease

**Q: Hi, is it possible to regulate the temperature?**
A: No. There is no button for that. It is very low heat. Only to precook the tortilla. You cannot cook it on the press.

**Q: Does this bake the tortillas?**
A: INo, it precooks them, there still raw but are round and can be handled to be placed on a griddle to be fully cooked. I absolutely love this machine.
