'The bigger problem if you're looking to cast in any large amount is that latex wears out quickly, so you will need to replace the moulds fairly frequently. Resin will dry out the latex and make it brittle, and you lose a little detail with every cast.' So if you have one or two casts then maybe but if you wish for more try a silcone / alginate mould material **Q: Could anyone please let me know what the drying time is. Thanks** A: Dries quite quickly , however it depends on the thickness and the weather . I’ve not used it as dipping but painted on and a warm room , thin layer is about an hour five or take depending on temp . Thank you** A: Liquid latex / dipping rubber needs to be built up using many thin layers, hence it is sometimes called dipping rubber. Each layer must be completely dry before the next layer/dip. For example this product is the same as the product that makes surgical latex gloves (thin and stretchy).
