The points are glued in as opposed to being placed by hand like the really expensive ones. If one comes off it can be re-glued or even hand sewn back into place since it has holes along the edges. The measurements of the set that I received were slightly off, but that is not a problem for me. The bag appears to be made of a flimsy cotton, but it is not canvas. Getting the parts out of the bag took some tugging, but I don't plan to put the large mat back into the bag since I will keep it on a chair at home. I found this item to work exactly as described and I can use it without a t shirt. There is also a brochure that comes with the mats that describes how to use the items and clean them (hand wash). A neat surprise was using the mat for my feet.
