## Description

This 12,000-btu portable air conditioner is ideal for spot cooling mid-sized rooms up to 450 square feet. With three cool settings, three fan settings, a 24-hour on/off timer and dehumidify mode, this single-hose HPC12XCR is equipped to meet your interior climate needs. A quick-install window kit is included for exhausting the unit through any horizontal or vertical opening window and fully directional casters provide mobility. Maintenance is minimal with a slide-out washable mesh filter and auto evaporation technology makes manual draining unnecessary.

Review: Good cooling, but not for casement windows. - Worked well, but our casement windows made it hard to keep out the outside air. Product seemed great for the short time we had it, just wasn't right for us currently unfortunately.
Review: Poor performance and unreliable. - The unit occasionally operates appropriately i.e. emits cold air with a high flow rate but more often than not the airflow volume is meager at best (even on high fan setting) and the unit does not keep a 450 square foot room cool. The low airflow typically manifests after the unit has been running about an hour and then a rattling starts to occur, followed by a extreme reduction in airflow and degraded cooling. The fans both spin normally during this odd low airflow issue but barely any airflow is noticeable from the vent; cold air can be felt if you put your hand very close to the vent but airflow can only be felt a few inches up from the vent so the unit does not keep the room cool since the cold air is not being pushed into the room very effectively. I would not recommend this air conditioner. I have recently purchased a replacement (different brand with same BTU) and my new air conditioner outperforms this unit by far. Unfortunately, I wasted money on this unit.

**Q: What is the dimensions of the panel that goes in a window?**
A: It fits a window that's 20-46 inches and the height minimum is 5 inches. Hope that helps.

**Q: What's the dba on this model? is it loud?**
A: Not sure on dBase probably around 40 or 50. It's not loud tousled we like noise when we sleep.

A: 115 Volts 9.5 Amps

**Q: Would not waiting 24 hours before turning my unit on harm it?it went down the stairs upside down.the unit doesnt seem to be cooling off my room.**
A: The reason for the wait is to let the coolant re-settle (same idea as when moving a refrigerator). This is usually only a problem if the unit has been turned sideways. If it was moved while standing upright the whole time, then waiting is generally not required.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job well

I bought this as a stop-gap fix for a failed A/C unit in my office building. I'm using it to cool our 600 SF payroll office (payroll is near and dear to me) until I get the RTU fixed. The office is interior- no windows- so I'm venting the exhaust up into the plenum space above the ceiling. You MUST vent this unit outside the cooled space; obviously, this unit trades hot air for cool air so the hot air has to go somewhere. I'm happy with the quality and performance of this unit and I would consider buying another one.
