You could always purchase the Survival Kit that comes with the beacon. **Q: Is there any waterproof charastic to this bag? Concerned about flares getting wet .........** A: The bag will float but you have to unzip it to get to the contents. We bought waterproof containers to store flares and all other items inside the bag. We use this on a 38ft Power Cat, used for commercial offshore fishing charters. It is able to fit a large medical kit, spare flashlight, binoculars, EPIRB, flares and more. Our last one survived around 3 years before the zippers succumbed to too much salt buildup. Highly recommend applying a zipper lubricant/protectant. We have never had to 'ditch' yet, but I am sure this bag will be invaluable if we ever do. One small complaint is that the stitching on the seams could be a bit more rugged.
