Review: Poor performance - I purchased one of these last August. I have it placed on my covered front porch in the back corner, at a 45 degree angle in order to effect the entire front porch, which is 7ft x 8ft. and it is no longer effective. I wrote to the manufacturer explaining that I was unhappy with having to replace the unit after only 8 months of use. The following is their response: "So if you wanted me to replace the one bought in August, I wouldn’t be able to since our warranty are for 6 months. Also remember that the Balcony Gard is a very directional unit meaning that you would have to place it directly where the problem is. I suggest trying to place the Balcony Gard in the corner facing outward and elevating it a bit that way it covers 3 feet below and 3 feet above." The distance between where I have the unit placed and the area which is now covered with bird poop is about 6 1/2 ft, at the same level. I can't recommend this product Since, when I first bought this item several years ago, it worked very well for several years, I decided to give it one more try. I received a new unit last week. I placed it in the corner of the porch, settings on high, aimed directly at the area which the birds seem to like, and turned it on. By the next day (and almost every day since), there is new bird poop on my porch. I don't know how their technology was changed, but as far as I'm concerned, this was a waste of money.

**Q: Does it effect dogs?**
A: Hello, some people can hear it and it´s annoying for them, specially children. I didn´t see any efect on my neighbors dogs. But most important, it did not work on birds, the main purpose.

**Q: Does this work with woodpeckers?**
A: Yes but for Woodpeckers we do recommend the WoodPecker PRO

**Q: does this make noise?**
A: Depending on how you set it it may make a small noise. Normally though, no.

**Q: How long will it run on batteries? I need it for my car - no outlet nearby.**
A: I have one and the birds use it as their favorite hangout spot. At first they used to laugh and point at it. Now they sit on it and catch up on their bird gossp.

### ⭐ NOTHING HAPPENING - Piece of Junk!

This items does NOT do what it says it's suppose to do. I simply plugged this unit into an electrical outlet on my deck and pointed it in the direction where birds congregate on my deck. This machine shows a little RED light and appears to give the illusion that it's working and doing something. I don't hear any sounds or see any movements, either. I've had this unit for the last 2 months and monitored the activities of the birds. There are literally no TREES in my yard or power cable present, so the Birds don't have any place or area to sit on. However, my deck rails seems to extend an invitation for birds to come and hang out. Hence forth, the reason why I purchased the Ultrasonic Bird Repeller. To my big disappointment the birds are still coming and taking a crap on my deck. The birds don't seem to be phased by the presences or use of the Ultrasonic Repeller device. This items does NOT do what it says it's suppose to do. What a waste of money. I will escalate the returning bird problem with a another remedy.
