Will need to be careful to insert and remove the toothbrush centrally though which is pretty easy to do as the dispensing lever guides to toothbrush somewhat. When using a smaller headed toothbrush as found on electric toothbrushes the toothpaste does overhang the toothbrush stem a little but you can avoid this by not pushing the toothbrush fully into the dispenser so you get a smaller bead of toothpaste. I have left my dispenser sitting loose on bathroom countertop just pushed up against the wall so it’s easy to pick up to clean and change the toothpaste when necessary so cannot comment about the adhesion.
