Equipped with INDIGLO night light and luminous hands, it ensures readability in the dark. Its quick-change double-layer nylon strap and 50-meter water resistance make it the perfect companion for millennial professionals who balance style with outdoor adventure. ## Description Timex pairs the dial with an adjustable strap on this Expedition Scout for a rugged, outdoor-ready look. The Timex Expedition Scout is a tried-and-tested field companion built around a 12- or 24-hour dial, a date window, and the brand's signature arrow second hand. A brass case and a mineral glass crystal stand up to daily wear, and a buckle-close strap keeps the fit secure. Arabic numerals mark the dial for easy reading, and the quartz analog movement keeps time reliably day after day. For over 170 years, Timex has built watches with one belief at its core: time belongs to everyone. No other watchmaker has matched Timex's ability to put a well-crafted timepiece on your wrist without emptying your pocket. Every Timex watch is a testament to legendary durability and value, designed to help you pause, look up, and savor the moments that matter—the conversations, the adventures, the quiet everyday instances that make life worth living. A Timex on your wrist is more than a timepiece; it's a reminder to make time yours. ## Features - Black Dial Design: Black dial with full Arabic numerals pairs with a green fabric slip-thru strap that changes in seconds - Adjustable Strap: A comfortable band fits securely up to an 8-inch wrist circumference for everyday wear, day in and day out - Indiglo Backlight: A push of the button illuminates the dial and luminous hands in the dark, day or night, rain or shine - All-Weather Durability: A mineral glass crystal and water resistance to 50 meters keep this field watch ready for daily wear - Built to Last: A Timex watch is designed for durability and everyday reliability; every piece reflects our commitment to quality without compromise ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B0194LW5BM | | Batteries | 1 Lithium Metal batteries required. I wore it daily as I worked my land. It took a licking and just broke after almost 8 years. Before this other watches would only last a year. I'm back to buy another Expedition. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED **Q: Good first watch for a teenager? For a present will it fit small wrists?** A: Check the band, most Expeditions have holes nearly all around, & so should fit even a slim-wristed teen just fine. You can trim off the excess for now, & get a new band if you outgrow this. **Q: How do you change the date? There doesn't appear to be a middle setting and going around a 24 hour cycle doesn't do it either.** A: You have to go forward with the time setting, 24 hours for each day. I just reset mine this weekend to the correct date. ## Frequently Bought Together - Timex Men's Expedition Scout 40mm Watch - Timex Unisex Weekender 38mm Watch --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/22879135-mens-expedition-scout-40mm-watch-outdoor-and-durable](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/22879135-mens-expedition-scout-40mm-watch-outdoor-and-durable) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
