Then a year later I had neck surgery and was not allowed to put my head back while in recovery. It was the perfect solution because I could sit straight up and still have highlights rather than a having to settle for a dry cut and no color. I have had two stylists use it and both were more than happy to accommodate me even though there is some adjusting to do done to ensure water doesn't go all over the place. You do get a bit wet - we used towels around shoulders and minimized it but getting wet is a low price to pay for being comfortable and not generating a dizzy flare up or neck pain. Lighweight and easy to carry into the salon. We purchased it recently for the stylist to shampoo an elderly woman dealing with 1) vertigo and 2) a back fracture requiring the use of a back brace --- both causing problems when leaning back in the shampoo chair. The product fits nicely around her neck with a towel placed around her neck / shoulder area under the tray. She holds on to the strap to keep the tray in place, sits upright, and the water flows nicely into the bowl during her shampoo. The stylist has been impressed also and told us it worked much better at keeping the client dry than another product she had used in the past for people unable to lean back in the chair. The tray is made of good quality material and easy to transport.
