I would fix the back left taillight, the brakes would cause it to light up, but wouldn't for the running lights. Then the right side would do it, and the left would not. I bought a Flash relay for the hyper issue, but this wasn't it. I replaced the top two sockets with these, and the issue disappeared! Originals OEM are damaged by the heat of incandescent lamps. I'm replacing all of mine with LEDS so should no longer have heat or battery drain issues. LEDS are normally brighter too.
