Review: Easy & Effective - I've been using the Accurel media pads in my Marina S20 filter for about a year. When cut to size, it easily slips into the filter's slots. It is stiff, which makes it very easy to slide into place. It also seems to have a tighter weave than other media pads, so it catches even the tiniest specs of debris. My filter also has Purigen, and,in the far section of the filter, I use an Accurel Ammonia Reducing pad, which I also cut to size. Since I use only a piece at a time, the large pad is cost-effective. The water in my 5-1/2 gallon fish tank remains perfectly clear and the fish remain healthy. Because of the stiffness and the density, I much prefer the Accurel white media to the standard blue and white style.
