I have structured wiring with RJ45 sockets between the location where the ADSL socket for the router is and the location where I wanted the router. I purchased two of these cables and plugged them into my structured wiring. This made the equivalnt of a long RJ11 to RJ11 cable. I plugged one RJ11 connector into the ADSL socket and the other into the router itself.
