The inside does have a fill indicator as to where to fill it with wipes, and I've kept it below or at the line and have never had any browning on my wipes. When I do refill it, the wipes do get really hot that I have to wait a second or two for the wipe to cool a bit off. I would definitely recommend this wipe warmer. I actually use this with reusable cloth wipes but have also used it for disposable. For the cloth wipes i put a few cups of water to wet the wipes and it doesn’t leak at all. Something to keep in mind is that the heating mechanism is at the top, on the l lid so if you’re using disposable wipes and have to go through quite a few, the ones further down won’t be as warm. I love that t the locking mechanism is easy to use and it’s been used since July 1 and still going strong. I think the only thing i might like more is if it was heavier as some of my cloth wipes get stuck coming out and can lift the whole thing off the dresser but they’re really thick so I don’t really blame the wipe warmer for that.
