So I'm not 100% sure, but if your system recognizes the drive I would think Samsung's software should work. And as long as you are installing a Samsung drive because most company's software migration tools only detect their drives. **Q: I want to clone my hdd onto an m.2 ssd can I use this for that?** A: Yes and no, yes it will allow you to connect the m.2 and clone (with not included software), but it does not mean it will boot, a lot of systems have different storage drivers for SATA and m.2, and if that is the case, then it will not boot because when the is was installed it installed the driver for SATA and it is not going to install the one for M.2. In the end you might be stuck just creating a backup, then creating an install disk and reinstalling and restoring that backup in a new install.
