Dishwasher safe and portable, it’s perfect for large breeds and compatible with various chew types, ensuring hours of safe, engaging entertainment. ## Description The Original Himalayan Dog Chew is a very long lasting dog chew. Himalayan Dog Chews are made by boiling yak and cow milk and then dried for several weeks to create a hard chew. Dogs must work the end of the treat for hours, softening it with their mouths before small parts of it can be slowly scraped off. It is 100-percent natural with no preservatives. It is an authentic type of cheese eaten by the people of the Himalayas. When you give this Himalayan Dog Chew to your dog, you know that you are providing them with hours of high quality eating entertainment. Packaged by weight, quantities and size vary. Review: Intense chewer loves this! - Bought this a few weeks ago for my 60ish pound crazy chewer. He can usually decimate a large yak chew in a few hours, if it's a good and dense one. We've tried lots of brands and it's rare to have one last much longer. The Jughead is actually pretty big, but has smaller spaces that are easy for him to get his mouth around. His mouth is big enough for all of it, but you get to the yak chew on the smaller bits. He absolutely loves this toy and, nearly 3 weeks into use, the original yak chew in it is still largely intact. The Jughead has no damage, either. We are quite impressed! When I got it, it looked too big for a large yak chew. So, I chose the biggest one we had. However, getting it in took a bit of force - it's meant to squeeze in there. Once we got it popped in, it's stayed securely in there. The Jughead also has enough interior width that the cheese can move around a bit back and forth. That probably makes it more interesting for the dog. All in all, this has been a great purchase. It's survived young dog energy and kept him entertained. He loves to carry it with him from room to room, into the crate, and even outside. Review: Durable - I bought these for my two super chewers. They can destroy toys in under 10 minutes that are supposedly for nearly indestructible but sadly most do not make it in our house for long. I love the Himalayan chews, although they can finish one in a day, they last considerably longer than most chews. As we all know yak chews are expensive and I was doling them out sparingly. I saw these and after reading reviews thought, why not? I buy the large yak chews and they fit in the orange holder just fine. The openings allow for interest in the chew while preventing them for destroying it quickly. I hear them munching on the holder itself and so far there is zero damage. The first chew lasted just over a week before I took them out and allowed them to finish them off, took less than 30 minutes, and inserted new chews into the holders. That was several days ago and I believe they will hold for about another week before I remove them to replace again. They chew on them off and on throughout the day and carry them everywhere, often exchanging them between themselves because trading among dogs has more appeal for some reason. The chews themselves are being chewed on, there are teeth marks all over them but the holder prevents outright chomping. I’m super pleased with these and feel they will last a good long time while also making the yak chews last longer and go further, making us all happy. ## Features - A DOG TOY THAT HOLDS CHEWS. This dog chew holder keeps chews stable and easily accessible for your dog’s chewing enjoyment. The perfect accessory for dogs that love yak cheese Himalayan dog chews. - STIMULATES YOUR DOG Your dog gets extra stimulation from the nubs and interesting shape dynamic. Make your dog chews last longer in a safe way for your dog. Smear the inside with dog loving peanut butter for some stimulating entertainment. - Makes Dog Treats Safer: The Jughead Super dog treat holder keeps chew nuggets from getting gulped, helps slow fast chewers and boost engagement, but always supervise. Chews may loosen once worked down, so remove as needed. - Durable & Dishwasher Safe: Built to withstand tough chewers and daily use, the Jughead Super maintains its strength while staying easy to clean. Simply place it on the top shelf of your dishwasher for quick, hassle-free cleaning that helps keep the holder fresh for every chew session. - Designed for Jughead Super Insert and More: Specifically engineered to be the perfect duo with the Super Insert dog chew, but can also hold other dog chews such as veggie treats like carrots and celery. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0817DF4D2 | | Additional Features | Lightweight, Portable | | Age Range Description | All Life Stages | | Best Sellers Rank | #25,142 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #1,652 in Dog Treat Cookies, Biscuits & Snacks | | Brand Name | Himalayan Dog Chew | | Breed Recommendation | Large Breeds | | Color | Orange | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 2,014 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Large | | Flavor | Cheese | | Included Components | 1 Jughead Super - Large | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 12.7"L x 3.25"W x 8"H | | Item Type Name | Himalayan Dog Chew | | Item Weight | 0.42 kg | | Manufacturer | Himalayan Dog Chews | | Manufacturer Part Number | 5110122 | | Material Type | Synthetic Rubber | | Model Name | Jughead Super | | Model Number | HIMDC5110122 | | Pattern | Solid | | Pet Toy Type | Chew Toy | | Pet Type | Dog | | Product Style | Super | | Recommended Uses For Product | Saves your chew, slows chewing, adds intellectual stimulation. | | Scent Name | Unscented | | Size | 1 Count (Pack of 1) | | Subject Character | Dog | | Target Species | Dog | | Theme | Animals | | UPC | 857164007822 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Please keep your original packaging. I really thought this product was rated for large aggressive chewers, but Amazon delivered at 7:10 and the pics are from 9:25 (barely made it 2 hrs). My other pup (not pictured) is not as rough on her toys as my boy in the pics, but she still had a chunk ripped off in less than an hour :( ## Frequently Bought Together - Himalayan Dog Chew Jughead Large Dog Chew Holder, Secures Chews for Dogs, Chew Smarter and Longer, Stimulate Your Dog, Holds Yak Chews, 1 Dog Toy - Himalayan Pet Supply Jughead Super Cheese Chew Insert, 100% Natural, Long Lasting, Gluten Free, Healthy & Safe Dog Treats, Lactose & Grain Free, Protein Rich, Dogs 35 lbs and Over, Large - Himalayan Dog Chew Original Yak Cheese Chew, 1 Large Stick, 3.3 oz, Gluten Free, Healthy Treats, Grain & Lactose Free 100% Natural, Long Lasting for Dogs Under 55 lbs --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/224713571-himalayan-dog-chew-jughead-super-sized-dog-chew-holder-hold](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/224713571-himalayan-dog-chew-jughead-super-sized-dog-chew-holder-hold) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
