I don’t want any colors that say they’re blue & be blue black or red that is burgundy/brown.** A: The set I bought is a “vintage” color set. So the red is a burgundy. One of the greens is kind of a sage color, another is olive. The purple shade is more of a “mauve.” They are GORGEOUS colors (IMO), but if you are going for “true” colors, this isn’t likely the set you’re looking for. **Q: Is the ink waterproof?** A: I used a few pens to make marks on white copy paper and the did not smear at all when I put several drops of water on the paper. Hope this helps, **Q: Are these pens archival quality?** A: I'm so sorry I cannot answer this question. I bought several different coloring pens to carry with me to places where I will probably have to wait my turn. I carry them in a canvas bag that has some drawings of words and have been coloring those in. I haven't tried to wash the bag. I also have a small coloring book. Doctor's offices seem to be the places where many of us sit and color. Some people carry pads. But archival. I dunno. Sounds like you're an artist. The tip leaves a clearly visible and distinct line, no ink glops or smudges (see picture) - The pen is comfortable to hold - The cap fits fairly tight so you do need to make sure you push it all the way down when you’re done. - The price point is great for the diversity of color and the quality of these pens.
