It earned only three stars from me because when the IPOD is fully inserted, there is no opening for the headphones on the top flap. One has to peel the top back to enable the headphone insert. The top stays open the entire time the headphones are plugged in.This prevents the IPOD from being seated fully into the case during workouts. Fortunately for me, my workouts consist mostly of cardio-routines so I don't have to worry about the IPOD slipping out of the case with the top uncovered. Additionally, you cannot use the scroll functions of the wheel through the plastic. Push functions such stop, skip and pause do work through the plastic. Update: I stand corrected. I am adding an extra star to my initial review. I was actually using the armband upside down. There are openings on the armband that allow the use of headphones with the IPOD FULLY inserted. Please look at attached pictures. I still maintain only four stars because the plastic shield doesn't allow volume adjustment during use. You have to make the volume adjustment before insertion. Other than this observed con, this armband is the best I have ever owned. Additionally, fit is snug on my arm.
