I love the thumb finger rest on the new one. I LOVE the blade storage in the body too. The lockback to fold in the blade is a bit stiff to activate with my CMC, but not really bad. The blade storage cover is very easy to open and close. Handy to have 5 extra blades right in the knife. I’m not fond of the color.

**Q: Is the handle made of plastic or metal?**
A: Metal skeleton with a plastic like material for the handle and blade storage compartment.  It looks like plastic but has a different fell. I really like mine (I have 2). Well made and heavy duty.  I haven't seen the thumb rest on other blades either and I like that. Your mileage may vary.

**Q: Where is this made?**
A: Made in China

**Q: what medal part do I press to fold it back?  I have pressed everything and it will not fold back!**
A: Dear KarenThe red part has a groove where you can see the metal, press the metal part to the groove, don't loose it, then fold the blade back, release the metal part.

My fiance said “wow I really wish they made a box cutter with the blades attached cause I can’t find the blades when i need them” well I googled it and found this the next day. I surprised him with it and he keeps requesting me to buy more so we can keep one in the kitchen, one in the garage, one in the office, etc. the thumb pad is amazing too, allowing you to press with your thumb On a soft area so you can control the pressure more comfortably. We were so impressed with the brand that we started buying more tools from WORKPRO. Will be a new household favorite.
