Crafted from premium 3K pre-preg carbon fiber using an autoclave process, it features a UV-resistant epoxy coating to prevent fading and cracking. Engineered for a perfect OEM fit, it reduces heat transfer while adding a sleek, glossy finish that enhances your bike’s custom look. ## Description Bestem Ducati 848/1098/1198 Carbon Fiber Exhaust Heat Shield in plain weave will give your motorcycle that special custom look. This part is made from high quality 3K carbon fiber with sulfate-free fiber glass backing. Special formulated epoxy resin provides excellent flexibility and durability and will not change shape or crack under road use. UVC topcoat layer is used to protect the carbon fiber from fading, as is the problem with cheaper polyester or vinyl carbon fiber on the market today. To ensure the best possible fit onto your motorcycle, this part was created from a casting of the original OEM part and it is test-installed. Fits Ducati 848/1098/1198. Review: IT NOT ONLY LOOKS GREAT ON MY BIKE BUT IT DOES THE JOB AND ... - IT NOT ONLY LOOKS GREAT ON MY BIKE BUT IT DOES THE JOB AND REDUCES HEAT FROM MY EXHAUST IN THAT AREA. IMMEDIATELY AFTER TURNING OFF MY BIKE I TOUCHED THE COVER WITH MY BARE HAND FOR T LEAST 10 SECONDS. IT WEIGHS HALF THE WEIGHT OF THE OEM PART AS WELL! Review: Stick with same brand if going full carbon - It fit like it's supposed to. Looks great. I recommend staying with same brand such as Bestem. All manufacturers have different finishes. The weave or gloss will look different. ## Features - 100% 3K Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber - Autoclave Process - Custom formulated Epoxy Resin for Flexibility - Protective Coating for UV Resistant - 1x1 Plain Weave Glossy Finish ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004WNU6SM | | Best Sellers Rank | #3,116,558 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #258 in Powersports Exhaust Heat Shields | | Brand | Bestem | | Brand Name | Bestem | | Color | Black | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Motorcycle | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 30 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00816777010766 | | Installation Type | Bolt-On | | Item Weight | 8 ounces | | Manufacturer | Bestem | | Manufacturer Part Number | CBDU-1098-EHC | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 90 days | | Material | 100% Carbon Fiber | | Material Type | 100% Carbon Fiber | | Model Number | CBDU-1098-EHC | | Shape | Round | | UPC | 816777010766 | | Vehicle Service Type | Motorcycle | ## Product Details - **Color:** Black - **Brand:** Bestem - **Material:** 100% Carbon Fiber - **Vehicle Service Type:** Motorcycle - **Shape:** Round ## Images ![Bestem 100% Carbon Fiber Exhaust Shield for Ducati 848 1098 1198 Plain Weave - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41i09r5Zg1L.jpg) ![Bestem 100% Carbon Fiber Exhaust Shield for Ducati 848 1098 1198 Plain Weave - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31CIVqacDQL.jpg) ![Bestem 100% Carbon Fiber Exhaust Shield for Ducati 848 1098 1198 Plain Weave - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Fn7jXqleL.jpg) ![Bestem 100% Carbon Fiber Exhaust Shield for Ducati 848 1098 1198 Plain Weave - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Ebu2p2utL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ IT NOT ONLY LOOKS GREAT ON MY BIKE BUT IT DOES THE JOB AND ... *by B***6 on September 13, 2017* IT NOT ONLY LOOKS GREAT ON MY BIKE BUT IT DOES THE JOB AND REDUCES HEAT FROM MY EXHAUST IN THAT AREA.
