Review: nice ice skate shoes! - It's a nice ice skate shoes! The size is adjustable, so me and my partner can both use it. This makes it a great deal. I also like the color, very pop in winter, I can easily find it among all the shoes in the skate field. The shoes are also very comfy, but I may not use it for spinning moves, just skating would be nice. Review: Great value! - My 3-year-old daughter wanted to try ice skating this year, and these have been so much easier to put on and adjust than rental skates. I love that they’ll grow with her, even if she doesn’t use them a ton this season. They hold her tiny feet snug and feel comfy. The price is great too! ## Features - Push button size adjustable - Warm, Woven lining and Deluxe comfort Padding - Stainless steel blade - Water proof sole - Locking Buckle and Power Strap - Small fits Children's Shoe Sizes 10-13, Medium fits Youth Shoe Sizes 1-4, Large fits Youth Shoe Sizes 5-8 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01464V5E0 | | Best Sellers Rank | #10,826 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #1 in Children's Ice Skates | | Brand Name | Lake Placid | | Color | Black/White/Grey, | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (1,428) | | Date First Available | October 1, 2015 | | Included Components | Pair of Skates | | Item Package Dimensions L x W x H | 14.25 x 10.79 x 4.41 inches | | Item Weight | 16 ounces | | Manufacturer | Roller Derby | | Material | Nylon | | Model Name | Summit | | Package Weight | 1.43 kg | | Part Number | LP104BS | | Size | Small (10J-13) | | Skill Level | Beginner | | Sport Type | Ice Skating | | Suggested Users | boys | | Warranty Description | 90 Day Manufacturer | ## Images ![Lake Placid Summit Adjustable Youth Ice Skates - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71HWSY8I8CL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What size should I get for a 8 years old? He is size 3 in shoes?** A: Our grandson is 10 and we got the 5-8. I think the smaller size would be best for you....and they are adjustable. **Q: My son is 6 and wears a 12-13 shoe what size should I get?** A: my son is 5 and wears an 11-12 shoe. If these are not recommended for beginner skates can someone please let me know what they liked better? **Q: hi, my daughter is shoe size 14, will these skates be good** A: Yes if she is a little kids 14 this would be perfect with heavy socks. The next size down is too small I made that mistake as my daughter is in a 13. I had to send them back **Q: Can these be sharpened and do they need to be sharpened out of the box?** A: Yes they can be sharpened, they are a typical ice skate blade. They seemed to be ready to skate on out of the box. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ nice ice skate shoes! *by Y***H on March 4, 2026* It's a nice ice skate shoes! It is their first skates, just used in our backyard "rink" for maybe a half hour at a time, but no complaints about fit or comfort, easy to adjust, and they have been able to skate around with them and had lots of fun. ## Frequently Bought Together - Lake Placid Summit Boy's Adjustable Ice Skate - Lake Placid Boys Nitro 8.8 Adjustable Ice Skates - 5th Element Stealth Ice Hockey Skates - Perfect for Recreational Ice Skating and Hockey - True-to-Size Fit and Moisture Resistant Liner Ice Skates for Men --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/22027586-lake-placid-summit-adjustable-youth-ice-skates](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/22027586-lake-placid-summit-adjustable-youth-ice-skates) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
