Polyester?** A: Reinforced vinyl? **Q: Can they be used as snow covers in the winter ?** A: Yes they can, and i believe they can be used in all kinds of weather conditions. I was going to em in summer, and winter. **Q: Is there anything to keep these from "riding" up your leg when walking? Seems not.** A: I don’t seem to have issues with them riding up. You can strap them real tight, but they tend to get loose anyways. Velcro straps would probably work better. My problem is having to rotate them straight often after they get Loose. You can bend them in an arc, like a baseball cap, wider at the calf, and narrower at the ankles to get a better fit. They do their jobs ok, but hot as heck. For the price, you can hardly complain. **Q: Have these been tested with actual snakes to see if they can be punctured by a snake bite?** A: Luckily, I haven't had a snake strike so I can't answer the question. But the material is quite hard. ## Frequently Bought Together - Gonex Snake Gaiters, Waterproof Snake Guards, Snake Bite Protection for Lower Legs, Snake Proof Gaiters Fit for Men & Women, Adjustable Size, Pack of 1 - GearOZ Snake Gaiters Snake Chaps, Waterproof Lower Legs Snake Guards, Snake Bite Protective Gaiters, Anti-Snake Gaiters for Men/Women, Adjustable Size for Hunting/Hiking/Farm Working - QOGIR Snake Gaiters for Hunting: Durable Snake Guards, Snake Gaiter Leggings for Men & Women, Snake Bite Protection for Lower Legs, Snake Proof Gaiters with Adjustable Size --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/219709053-gonex-snake-gaiters-guards-chaps-for-lower-legs-men-women](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/219709053-gonex-snake-gaiters-guards-chaps-for-lower-legs-men-women) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
