There is no magnet on this thermometer. It does not need calibration from customer side, it has been calibrated at factory before shipment, thanks and have a good day!

**Q: Whats the resolution? does it just take 1.8 degree F steps or is it true 0.1 F resolution?**
A: This item wasn’t working for me. Cheap plastic temperature device. Never registered a correct reading when I used it. Wasted my money.

**Q: Do these thermometers come with covers? They are very sharp.**
A: No, mine didn't. It wasn't so much sharp as the metal part comes off. My thermometer didn't last six months. I'd recommend looking at another brand. I am doing that now.
