We bought this as a Christmas gift for my eight year old autistic child. First, the pro of it was it's really easy to install things on, and I was remotely able to downloa two games onto it as well as Kids Place, which basically is a child proofing app for the tablet. The second really great thing about it was that the silicone bumper case is really good and I'm confident my son won't shatter the screen on accident like what happened with his previous tablet. Now for the cons: The battery drains incredibly fast: I've seen it go from 100 percent to fully drained after less than half an hour o being unplugged. This is problematic as the reason we purchased a tablet was for his entertainment on the go, not for him to be stuck in one place. Two, it tends to get bogged down really easily if too many apps are opened- which is reasonable under most circumstances, but three apps is awfully low. I will return and update my review in six months time, unless something major happens with the tablet before then. ### ⭐ Do Not Buy This Tablet! *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2016* My son is almost 2 and he loves to watch Elmo videos and PBS. I decided to buy him a tablet for Christmas so he would leave my phone alone. I was stressed out and at that point just wanted to get shopping over with so I quickly glanced at the reviews and information and the price was right so I just bought it. First thing I noticed when it arrived is when they were talking about this sturdy tablet... it looks easily breakable. That cute colorful cover is really thin. Next there were no parental locks. At all. I expected it to sort of compare to the kid Kindle's or the Nabi's. The picture quality is awful. The speed of everything is sooooo slow. Kids are impatient. My son won't wait 2 minutes for something to load. Oh and the cherry on top is after sitting under the tree he finally unwrapped it and it was dead as a doornail. After being fully charged and turned off. The battery will not stay charged and drains impossibly fast. A complete and total waste of money. If you need something cheaper buy a refurbished Nabi or a Galaxy Tab and use it in kids mode. You'll be glad you did. ### ⭐⭐ A very low-end tablet with poor display, not suitable for children. *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2014* Given the Orbo Jr. was only $60, I knew it was going to be a "cheap" tablet, but did not expect it to be as bad as it was. The TN panel is about the worst display I have seen since early 2000's. Viewing angles are extremely terrible, any slight movement (10-15 degrees) causes half of the display to either wash out or become difficult to view due to the inversion of colors. There is also a very high amount of reflection from the display which interferes with text and makes it difficult to read. The display creates a strain on the eyes, after using it for only 15 minutes I felt the strain and decided that I would not give this to my children.The Android Jellybean (4.1.2) OS is good, I have no issues with the OS. However, I would not say that the tablet software has been setup/modified for children. I had to make the OS "kid friendly" by tweaking things here and there. There was no "kid mode" setup. In fact, this is not something you could just had a child without first verifying all the settings.Did not find and software/games for children pre-installed, but it does have the standard Google Play (account needed) to install apps. They also include their own market app which downloads and installs apps (sideloads apk files, did not investigate the download sources).Overall, the display is was what killed this tablet for me. I purchased 2 of these (one for each child) because of the low cost.
