So, if you want shots with alcohol, you would instead of the cold water, use cold alcohol. In that scenario, you can use 1 c col alcohol or 1/2 c cold alcohol and 1/2 c cold water, depending how strong you want them. I use 1 c cold alcohol (from the freezer). So, to answer if they can be used with actual jello, yes. If you want them non-alcoholic you would simply make a regular batch of jello, suction up the liquid and let set in fridge instead of using a bowl or whatnot. We find them fun!
