Review: Excellent sharper for older kids and up - My kiddo loves the triangular Honeysticks Jumbo Pencils, but I couldn’t find a large enough diameter pencil sharpener locally, and it appears the company doesn’t make thier own sharpeners. Looking for similar ‘eco’ brands lead me to this Stockmar sharpener, and it works amazingly well. Three twists and the pencils were as ‘sharp’ as new, and it handled my adult charcoal pencils well with no crumbles, the blades are very sharp (as well as replaceable). The lid is held on with little wooden dowels, it comes off with little provocation, especially after sharpening twelve nubbed pencils. That means it will live on my desk until my child more fully understands “tool vs toy”, but I’m very happy to have found this item!
