The large side doesn’t fit a chubby pencil not Very large. However this is product is precise reallY good. **Q: Will is sharpen trish mcevoy essential pencils?** A: I wouldn’t waste your money on this sharpener. It is not worth the price. I thought it would be great given all of the good reviews and it being stainless steel. It chewed up my eye pencils. If you do purchase it buyer beware **Q: Does this work for soft eyeliner pencil/crayons that you twist from the bottom to advance?** A: I’m thinking it will not work well as the barrel of the sharpener is tapered to fit a pencil with “lead” and not just a thin “lead” that pops up as you twist. The ELF one broke and the top and bottom don’t stay on. This Palladio version is more sturdy, it is in a case which is easy to open to clean it out, but doesn’t pop open by itself. I would recommend this over anything else. It’s worth paying a little more to save yourself some frustration.
