Review: Tinte craft - I really like this black fabric dye. It’s easy to use and does a great job refreshing the color of clothing and other fabric items. The black color comes out rich and helps make faded clothes look new again. Very useful to have at home!
Review: This the better one from Rit Dye - I normally use this one just by removing cap and seal from the bottle and then placing it inside the washing machine drum, on top of the clothing, making sure it sits vertical. Then I add the right amount of salt and hot water via the soap dispenser or by pouring it directly on top of the clothing inside the drum. Start the hottest longest cycle (on a Bosch is "towels") and that is it. The bottle will empty itself after a couple of swirls and will mix with the water quickly and provide homogenous result. This will avoid making a mess on your soap dispenser, which is likely made of white plastic, it will stain and will take forever to clean up. No way i will put this thing trough the soap dispenser again, I did it once and took forever to remove the dye from it. Other than this the results are good; I wish the dye did not fade as fast as it does with the following washings though, since it starts to fade after 3 or 4 washings, even in cold water.

**Q: How many kids shirts can I tie dye with 1 bottle of dye?**
A: I can easily do about 8 in a large plastic bin.

A: Apple Green is what I'd use.

**Q: I need to dye a white hoodie the color of classic grey sweat pants, what grey is best?**
A: Unfortunately, there is no grey that is the grey you’re referring to. All dyes are built on pigment bases, and Rit dye tends to run slightly more purple. I would recommend trying to do a light tan underneath the Pearl grey dyes, and do swatch tests on scrap white fabrics first. You won’t be able to achieve the marle effect, but you will get a relatively flat dye. Hope this helps!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Careful with already stained garments

I had a family member stick some chapstick in the wash and it stained some of my white t-shirts. I didn't want to give them a really dark solid colored dye, I just wanted something to even out the stains... it didn't work and that's my fault. If you read the instructions they tell you to wash everything off of the shirts unfortunately because the chapstick oil was baked into the shirt it made the ink appear darker and made the stain look more noticable. No biggie since it was a test run. If you have any stained piece of garment just understand that the dye might adhere to the shirt more. I imagine that there is some type of technique that could create an interesting stain/wash for clothes -- maybe next time with more preplanning.
