This pad has some firm cushion to it which is great for when you do squats or have the bar on your shoulders. The material is canvas and is durable. Its fits 1 inch thick bar no problem. Easy to install and also works well when doing a bench press to touch you chest and not bounce off your ribs. If you get that extreme range of motion. Its is comfortable to use for sure.
