It looks like it has about 2 1/2 inches clearance under the divider. Hope that answers what you need to know. **Q: Can it be used outside? Can it be rain and sun resistant?** A: It is very light made out of a nylon ribbon typed weave. It worked well for dividing a bedroom between two beds. But outside I believe is would blow over easy and fade quickly. I also think the weave would become rained soak, I don't see it shed water. But it is a very good product for the price for inside. **Q: Can light pass through the panels or is it thick enough that it blocks light?** A: Very little light passes through .
