## Questions & Answers

**Q: My toilet has a 3in drain from the tank to the bowl.  Will this product fit?**
A: Three inches sounds about right.  If it is a standard toilet, with standard plumbing, it should work just fine. The interface with the tank drain pipe is conical, as can be seen in the photograph of the unit, to compensate for any slight variations there might be with the width of said drain pipe interface, as are conventional flappers.

**Q: After three years both of mine now leak and flush every 30 mins as the rubber washers used to hold the valve tight on the outlet have perished. Help?**
A: Go get new rubber washers; chemicals in the water supply can degrade the rubber over time.   Or you can use a metal hose clamp.  However, if your blue dome seal has gone bad -- as mine has --  good luck finding a replacement part.  Seems Danco wants you to replace the whole system when that seal goes bad.  :-(

**Q: Anyone found a replacement seal for the unit?  Mine is 10 months old and leaks terribly.**
A: If the blue seal on the bottom of the unit is leaking, try this: GENTLY push down on the unit.  If the unit slpped up the fill tube, this should stop the leak. Using the zip tie they gave us to attach the unit was not the brightest but was the cheapest way.  Being a car guy, I used a stainless steel car heater hose clamp around the rubber ring on the overflow pipe and now nothing can move the unit.  I found a mini clamp that is half the width of the usual clamp,and is easier to install.

**Q: Does this prohibit the use of bleach tablets in the tank? Does anyone use them with this?**
A: The manual says that NO tablets, bleach or others should be used in the tank. Bleach and deodorizing units can be attached to the bowl without concern.
