I had to find a Telcel store (which one was located on every block) to have them help me activate it. The data wasn't working at first, I had either the H, H+or E symbol when I should've had 4G or 3G. After about 30 minutes of trying and having to explain to the workers at the store that it was indeed a Telcel SIM card that I bought online but was supposed to working in Mexico, they were finally able to get it to work. They had to change the Access Point Name in my mobile data settings. This was written on the instructions when I first received the card that some phones/carriers require that you change the APN. I didn't think that applied to me (Verizon, Samsung Galaxy S5) but it did and I had thrown out the instructions otherwise I would've been able to set it up myself. The coverage was pretty good. I was in Merida, Tulum and Playa Del Carmen. There would be a few area that coverage was spotty such as one room in my hostel while another room was fine.
