It works very well *by M***T on February 8, 2017* It arrived in great shape. It works very well, quick data transfer time, and although I haven't tried dropping it in water or throwing it to the floor, it looks very solid. I have a previous ADATA rugged drive and it has lasted a long time. My husband also has one and after three years, his is still working despite the fact that he is prone to accidents and has gone through a number of external drives. When my friend lost his data because his children had dropped his external drive, I bought him this. It looks and feels like it will survive his kids. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Never trust this brand but it met all my expectations *by A***N on March 22, 2025* Reliable, functional and work very well ,package reached on time ,very efficient service ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really impressed with the triple-layer case construction! *by A***Y on January 21, 2016* This is my second purchase from ADATA, the first being the previous model of ADATA HD710, which had the amazing slick and military grade feel to it. So I decided to upgrade to a 2 TB drive and bought the HD720. I've been really impressed with the triple-layer case construction, stylish look, and lightness, and the smooth silicone case with carbon fiber-like pattern. I like the new edition of the certified dust-proof protection and I think its a must have for any important documents one wants to preserve. I think the new model does a great job with the design of the USB wire attachment. ## Frequently Bought Together - ADATA HD720 2TB USB 3.0 Waterproof/Dustproof/Shock-Resistant External Hard Drive, Blue (AHD720-2TU3-CBL) - ADATA HD710 Pro 2TB USB 3.1 IP68 Waterproof/Shockproof/Dustproof Ruggedized External Hard Drive, Black (AHD710P-2TU31-CBK) - Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/21115862-hd720-2tb-usb-3-0-waterproof-dustproof-shock-resistant-external](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/21115862-hd720-2tb-usb-3-0-waterproof-dustproof-shock-resistant-external) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
