This infrared temperature measurement can quickly and accurately measure the temperature of food compared with traditional kitchen thermometers, it does not need to be inserted into the food. It is very convenient and is a necessity for any level of cooking. The air conditioning in my car has not been working properly. After 30 minutes, the interior of the car gradually heats up, and the bottom of the car heats up. I used the infrared thermometer to check the three-way catalytic converter. At this time, the thermometer screen flashes red to alarm, and the data shows that the temperature reaches 806°F. Under normal circumstances, the temperature of the three-way catalyst is about 660°F. **Q: Is there any way to shut off the beeping?  It is very annoying.**
A: I opened the bezel around the screen and snapped the beeper off. Do it at your own risk!

**Q: Can you check the temperature of your oven? I’m looking for something to check the accuracy of my ovens temperature hoping this would help**
A: Most accurate way is to use an electrical meter with a temp function and high temp thermocouple. I measured my oven at 285˚, 325˚, 375˚, and 425˚ heating up and cooling down by recording the temps at which you could hear the oven turn on or off and establish/reestablish the temp. It worked at +/- 5˚ except at the very low end which I considered reasonable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very useful kitchen tool.

Using this for cooking. Works great for checking the temperature of frying oil, liquid for yeast breads, oven temp, refrigerator temp, etc. I've been using one for about 6 months now and very happy with it. NOT suitable for internal temp of meats, but otherwise a very handy kitchen gadget. Just pull the trigger and read the temp. I rated 4 stars for accuracy, because we have 3 of these, and they all read a slightly different temp on the same item. They're within 2 or 3 degrees of each other, which is good enough for cooking, but maybe not for a science experiment! The instructions are a little hard to follow. Not translated well into English, grammar is difficult to understand, could be better. Had to fuss with it for a few minutes to figure out how to install the batteries, not clear how to do it in the instructions.
