I started with a low end centrifugal system and since juicing has become more important on my daily routine I decided to upgrade to a better system. I researched multiple models and options and at the end I decided for the Kuvings B6000P and I am extremely happy with my decision. It is true that because it is basically a slow masticating screw, you can see sometimes the fibrous leafy greens not moving down or getting a little stuck on the screw. However, it is just a matter of cutting those greens in little chunks and alternating products to help pushing the leaves down. I have had the Kuvings for over a week now, juicing 3 times a day everyday and my machine just got stuck once because I was using thick carrots to test it. However, just by using the reverse button the machine cleared itself and then on forward just continued like nothing. With my previous centrifugal machines I was so used having to really push down the leafy greens and the carrots that making a juice was sometimes a workout. This Kuvings is just fantastic, I almost don't have to use the pusher at all, this thing is just self-feeding. On the negative side, comparing against the centrifugal system, there are more parts to clean and there are some silicone parts that overtime might ware-out and could need replacement. However, proper care should make it last a long time. I rarely write reviews on any product but after so many doubts during my research process and finally finding out that I made a great decision I just hope that I could help more people out there going through the same process. Because of Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead I am debating btwn them.** A: Well, my whole motivation for juicing it's because of the Fat, Sick and Nearly dead documentary. After I took the Joe Cross's challenge of the 10 days fast, I started looking for a good juicer that was going to help me through those 10 days of fast. I obviously was eager to buy the Breville juicer, because one Joe used in his documentary and two looked good. I was willing to pay whatever the price was for a good juicer. But then I noticed that, hey I was probably going to spend $500 or more in a machine, so I decided to do some research to se if probably for $500 bucks there was a better juicer. What I found is amazing. Although the Breville looks good and seems strong, many juice experts affirm that due to the high speed blade, tend to oxidize the mineral and vitamins of the fruits and veggies, for me that was a minus. Besides that the Breville is not good with leafy greens and due the high speed of the blade the juice yield it not as high as other juicer, without mentioning the loud nice they make. All of the cons are found on any high speed blade juicer on the marker. The only good thing is that they are fast, but with a lot of flaws on the other side. So my choice now is on slow juicers. After a deep research on youtube and on different websites I got my favorites The Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer B6000S and the Omega Vertical Slow Juicer. Both around the same price but actually the omega with better stats in juice yield and pulp filtration, but at the end I decided to buy the kuvings just for one reason the wide feed chute. With a wide feed chute, no need to be cutting apples, carrots or other fruits or veggies into small pieces, that will help me save A lot of time. Besides that the kuvings offers you more things to do than just jucing, you can also do smoothies or grin food!....So that the reason why I choose the kuvings. Kuvings has demostrated to be as good as all reviews says and can handle hours of juicing. **Q: Can users comment on the ease of cleaning this machine?** A: I find it pretty easy to clean because it's not complicated to take apart. I usually pre-clean by closing the spout and adding water to the chute, turning the machine on and then opening the spout to let out any built up fruit/veggies into the collection cup. Then, I clean the chute and collection cups. Next, the auger...be sure to use the big toothbrush to get any food in the crevice. With the screen, I just use the screen cleaning tool to swish off the fruit/veggies and then the big toothbrush to clean anything leftover. It's easiest if you have hot soapy water waiting for you in the kitchen sink so you can clean as soon as your done juicing. If you juice turmeric...whoa boy, now that stuff is hard to clean..it makes everything yellowish tint, even your fingers. That's been the most challenging to clean so far. Also, pineapple makes a mess because the pulp builds up. **Q: The little rubber stopper on the basket ripped apart. Do I need to purchase a whole new basket just to have a usable rubber stopper?** A: send their service department an email/picture. They'll just send you a new one if it's w/in the warranty.
