I let it sit out the first night and the next day there must have been fifty fruit flies floating in the stuff. So, only 999,950 left to go! **Q: Does it attract biting horseflies?** A: No. Horseflies are attracted to dark moving objects. Google "make your own horsefly trap". Catching horseflies involves a more complicated trap but it's worth the extra effort IMO **Q: does it work on big horse flies?** A: Don't know if they are horse flies but in the city we get ginormous flies that fly really fast, make a high whining noise, and are really aggressive. It is almost full with flies and I’m happy.This works great. It was becoming very annoying having my morning coffee out on the back porch. The flies were relentless. I used cutter spray to fend them off a little but they still stayed near and constant movement. Doing fly stuff. I put up the trap in the evening and hoped for the best. In the morning, there was a noticeable difference , but the flies were still bothersome. Second morning, it was amazing how few flies were around me and how many chose to enter the trap. Im looking for refills now.I have it hanging above and to the side of me, about three feet from were I sit.
