Worked great for my purposes. Grips very well. I had written a review but it was taken down. I'm thinking because I did not use this as grips for stepping or on stairs. I placed it on a pew pew with a custom cut and fit design of my own. Very easy to cut and the texture is very grippy. So the product works exactly as stated in description. Great for all those purposes as well. Review: Great packaging, super strong tape! - Excellent product, well packaged and the seller even left a signed card and sticker. But as a guitar player, I wouldn’t really recommend, because it would be too abrasive on one’s skin. Just buy texture guitar picks. **Q: comparison to mob griptape for skateboarding?** A: Around the same… no big difference. **Q: Is this product waterproof?** A: it grips tape, it is not the best idea to skate in the rain. just saying it rots the board and it makes the board tape hard n unsticks as well if u use it in the rain ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent grip *by R***Y on October 14, 2026* Loved this product. The grip tape was very sticky, and applied very well. I will buy from again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recommended *by J***N on October 7, 2026* I don’t use this for a skateboard. I use it for putting grip in the shower from my elderly mother when I cut in strips and last about a year and then it starts getting moldy turns really yellow. I just strip it off and replace it with the new strips of them. They have enough crap even after the year they still have grip as a water trapped underneath, so most starts to grow so it’s understandable. I’m not using it for a skateboard, but that’s just Say a lot. I use it where there’s water the grip stays on for a year and they’re still grip as a teenager when I used to skate I used to go through grip tape every six months so this one it’s pretty good quality. ## Frequently Bought Together - Mr. Pen Grip Tape - Non Slip Tape for Skateboards, Longboards & Scooters - Moose Blank Skateboard Deck - Premium 7-Ply Maple Construction - Natural Wood - Choose from 10 Sizes - Jizmo Skateboard Trucks, Fits 7.75-8.25" Deck, Skateboard Wheels 52mm, Skateboard Bearings ABEC-11, Skateboard Pads, Skateboard Hardware Tool Combo Starter Set --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/209708423-mr-pen-black-skateboard-grip-tape-10-6x36-4-tear](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/209708423-mr-pen-black-skateboard-grip-tape-10-6x36-4-tear) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
