Mabey cleaned and conditioned once or twice in that year time. wear them 6 days a week. and the leather holds up good, Wore the rubber sole smooth but didn't go through. Rubber sole is not slippery on tile. I'm a sheetrocker/painter and i bought these boots because of the rubber sole because when repairing bathroom ceilings i stand on tubs and they can be slippery. Took a bad fall with a regular type wedge sole. Would these be good as work boots? They look exactly like a work boot** A: I don't actually use them to hunt. I use them as a work boot. And they are great. As good as a red wing boot but a lot cheaper. And no break in. These are comfortable right out of the box. Only con about them is the soft leather. I normally buy a wide shoe. But in these I get a normal since the sides stretch out some. So if you wear a wide get a normal. These are comfortable, warm, and dry straight out of the box. I always recommend a good leather oil or wax to be applied before wearing.
