Review: Fantastic sketch book - Having used a range of sketchbooks over the years, some of which never get much beyond the first couple of pages, this is the best I've had for carrying around and general use. Smooth paper, perfect for the super fine ballpoint I like to use but thick enough to take light watercolor washes if required. All the pages open flat, and it's well made too, it feels like it will survive bumping around in a bag. I used moleskine before..lovely but expensive and you feel like you have to be perfect using them. With this pad I don't mind doing daft things and wasting paper, or gluing things in. It's a really lovely little book, and the square 12x12 size is a refreshing change too. I will be getting more! Review: Golden (sunflower) yellow indeed :) - Nice colour, nice paper (smooth, not granular) ## Features - USE FOR VARIOUS ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES: Ideal for drawing, journaling, urban sketching, and field studies, offering versatility for creative expressions in various settings. - COMPATIBLE WITH MULTIPLE MEDIUMS: Suitable for pencils, pastels, acrylics, gouache, ink, charcoal, and light washes of wet media, accommodating diverse artistic techniques. - CONTAINS 80 SHEETS OF ACID-FREE PAPER: Features cream-coloured, 140 g/m² paper for archival-quality artwork, ensuring longevity and excellent performance. - STURDY AND PORTABLE DESIGN: Hard-bound construction ensures durability and travel-readiness, with a compact 12 x 12 cm size for convenient on-the-go creativity. - TALENS ART CREATION PROMISE: Offers high-quality, affordable art materials, supporting artists from beginners to professionals with a complete creative range. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08B9V1XPD | | Best Sellers Rank | 11,235 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 57 in Drawing Pads & Books | | Brand | Talens Art Creation | | Brand Name | Talens Art Creation | | Colour | Pastel Pink | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,504 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08712079451622 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 12L x 12W centimetres | | Item Weight | 200 Grams | | Manufacturer | Royal Talens | | Manufacturer Part Number | T9314-014M | | Material | Paper | | Material Type | Paper | | Model Number | T9314-014M | | Number of Items | 80 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Package Size Name | 80 sheets | | Paper Dimensions | 12 x 12 cm | | Paper Finish | Watercolour | | Paper Weight | 90 | | Paper finish | Watercolour | | Product dimensions | 12L x 12W centimetres | | Recommended Uses For Product | Sketching,Drawing | | Sheet Count | 80 | | Style | Fine | | Unit Count | 12.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Talens Art Creation - **Colour:** Pastel Pink - **Material:** Paper - **Paper Dimensions:** 12 x 12 cm - **Paper finish:** Watercolour ## Images ![Sketchbook Pastel Pink, 12x12cm, 140g, 80 Sheets, Hard-Bound, Acid-Free Paper - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/814D-cW7gaL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can you remove the pages easily** A: Yes, they are not perforated to be rip off but you can remove pages. By carefull with stiching. Pages are stiched in bundles. If you rip off pages than other half of the page in bundle can fell off. It is not like spiral sketchbook. If you want schetchbook you can rip off individual pages I would recommend to go for spiral binding. Hope I helped. **Q: Is it A5?** A: Hi, it’s the same length as A5 but about 2cm narrower. A nice wee pad. **Q: is the paper white or off-white?** A: This sketchbook have ivory colour pages. **Q: Hi, can this sketchbook be flat like 180 degree when open so easier to draw/paint? Thanks** A: my daughters asked for it as she draws all the time, on the train on the beach, on her bed so yes, the sketchbooks can open flat and not rip ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic sketch book *by S***T on 24 December 2024* Having used a range of sketchbooks over the years, some of which never get much beyond the first couple of pages, this is the best I've had for carrying around and general use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Golden (sunflower) yellow indeed :) *by S***Y on 28 May 2026* Nice colour, nice paper (smooth, not granular) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Neat, well made little sketchbook. *by T***S on 23 August 2021* There's loads I like about this book so for convenience I'll list them: It opens flat, allowing for double page spreads. The paper doesn't get damaged by pencil strokes easily. The paper puts up with erasing very well. The paper takes fineliner ink nicely. Doesn't bleed, even with significant blocking in. It's proper cute. Especially if like me you've come from large paper. There are a couple of things you may like to know, but don't necessarily mean it's good or bad: The paper isn't pure white, but a creamy hue. I'd say it's doubtful the paper could put up with anything more than the slightest wash. Alcohol markers will 100% bleed through, so use a protector if you want the release your copics in it. It's not quite true A6, but a mite bit smaller. There is nothing I dislike about this sketchbook. We'll worth every penny. ## Frequently Bought Together - Royal Talens T9314-014M 441750 Talens Art Creation Sketchbook, Drawing Notebook, 4.7 x 4.7 inches (12 x 12 cm), Pastel Pink - Talens Art Creation T9314-134M 452329 Talens Art Creation Sketchbook, Drawing Notebook, 4.7 x 4.7 inches (12 x 12 cm), Pastel Violet - Talens Art Creation Sketchbook Red 12X12 cm, 140 Grams --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/208620212-sketchbook-pastel-pink-12x12cm-140g-80-sheets-hard-bound-acid](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/208620212-sketchbook-pastel-pink-12x12cm-140g-80-sheets-hard-bound-acid) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
