Thanks.** A: Hi the package I got had one cleaner and one fabric guard bottle in the one box as a kit. each bottle was 16 oz. the box had stock # 30520 on it. I also got a 32 oz. bottle as an extra for future use separately of the fabric guard. But the kit bottles were 16 oz. each. **Q: Hello, any alternative successful methods to apply the protectant vs spraying ?** A: The only way I could see applying the protectant is to maybe soak a clean sponge with it and spread it around the top. However, I can’t say how well this method would work, as I have not tried it. RaggTop brand soft top protectant comes in a spray can. You might try that one. I feel that it is easier to apply and lasts longer. Always start with a clean, dry top. **Q: can you keep cleaning the top with the 303 cleaner after you apply the sealant or will it remove the sealant** A: Yes. You can always use the 303 Cleaner -even if the surface has already been treated. Hope this helps! **Q: how many ounces are the bottles. and is this product as good as the rag top brand** A: I'm not sure on the size. I think it was 12oz. As far as a rag top comparison. I can't help either. I used the 303 on my 2006 corvette 2 summers ago. When I put it away for winter the top was as good as the day after I used the 303. Personally, if I have a need for a fabric guard product again I will go back for more 303. Other than needing to use the cleaner in the kit to also clean any over spray from applying it. Follow instructions, top now repels water in beads. I don't think the previous owner ever used protection on the top. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks good to me. *by on Reviewed in the United States June 24, 2025* I had did some research and watched several YouTube videos on convertible top cleaners and sealers. After the research the 303 product appeared to me to be the way to go.So, I purchased this kit, along with the 303 brush, to clean and seal my convertible top.First of all, I use a lint roller to remove as much debris on the top as possible before washing it. Next I washed the complete car and then used the cleaner and the 303 brush on the top. Left it out in the hot sun to dry. The went over the top again with lint roller and removed anything that shouldn't be there. I taped up all around the top and taped off the rear window.I liberally sprayed the top with the fabric guard, removed the tape, and wiped off any over spray on the vehicle and placed it in the A/C garage and left is dry for 3 days. After the three days a poured a bottle of water on the top and it beaded right up and ran off the top, on the water test.Am not really sure how am going to judge how affective the sealer is (weather and UV wise) or how long the sealing will last, because the vehicle I used this on is kind of a (?) garage queen. It does gets used, but it's a fair weather car, sunny or cloudy days, no rain or snow and of course, it's kept in an air conditioned garaged!I have to say the cleaner worked very good. After sealing, the water beaded up, ran off the top like it should. So far I'm happy with the purchase, it did a good job and I will purchased again when need...on second thought I'll purchased another kit now before the price goes up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far the application is easy (due to the soaking in) and the durability is ... *by on Reviewed in the United States August 18, 2014* I am using this to replace scotch guard to waterproof my fishing rain gear. The problem with scotch guard is that the propellant (if you will) is water and if there is any water repellency left in the garment the stuff won't soak in so the fabric ends up soaking up water in an extended rain. The 303 has a petrochemical propellant and so does soak into the fabric. So far the application is easy (due to the soaking in) and the durability is superior.9/10/14 I recently spent an extended period in the rain fishing with a newer raincoat treated with 303. With the newer raincoats the fabric breathes but is supposedly waterproof. This is not entirely true. In an extended rain the fabric does not leak but is does saturate or soak into the fabric but does not leak through the fabric. If you are wearing cotton base clothing under the raincoat that clothing gets damp and there goes your insulating factor and your comfort. Obviously you would rather not have the rain soaking in (maybe OK in and umbrella but not so in a coat). That's why having the 303 soak into the fabric is such a big deal. So to the performance, the raingear did not leak and for the most part did not exhibit and signs of water soaking into the fabric. The exception was in areas of high wear or abrasion such as knee area of pants where you might lean an elbow for support. It may be that I didn't do a good job of spraying those areas or it may be that the wear or abrasion caused the treatment to wear off. The breathability (an equally big deal in the comfort category) of the fabric did not seam affected. In any case I had no garment leakage and I was very pleased with the performance and will be buying more in the future.June 15,2015. I did purchase the blue label variety and it does not work as well as the green label. I came back for a gallon this time and am refilling the spray bottle. This stuff is fantastic and I am now spraying raingear for my fishing friends. If you want waterproof rain gear this is the product to buy.
